A TinyPNG alternative
Image compressors are easy to find. The question worth asking is where your photos go while they are being compressed.

Your photos never leave your device
Online image compressors normally send your picture to a server, compress it there, and send it back. Shrinkzy uses your browser's own image engine instead, so the photo stays on your machine from start to finish.
That matters more for images than people expect. Photos carry location data, faces, screenshots of private conversations, scans of documents. Keeping them local removes the question entirely.
No monthly limit, because there is no server to pay for
Server-based compressors usually cap how many images you can process per month, because every file costs them computing time. Shrinkzy has no such cap for images: your device does the work, so photos, PDFs and audio are unlimited on the free plan.
Only video is limited on the free plan, because video encoding is long and we want the free tier to stay usable.
Formats and tools
Compress JPG, PNG and WEBP, turn iPhone HEIC photos into JPG, convert between formats, resize to an exact width, or aim for a target size such as 100 KB for a form that refuses anything heavier.
You can also compare before and after side by side, so you can judge the quality yourself instead of trusting a percentage.
The honest limits
Shrinkzy uses the compressors built into your browser. They are good, but a dedicated server-side engine can sometimes squeeze a little more out of a PNG at the same quality.
iPhone HEIC photos are decoded by a small library that loads only when you drop one, so the first HEIC takes a few extra seconds. And very large batches depend on how much memory your device has.
