FAQ

Good to know

What's the attachment limit?

Gmail allows 25 MB, Outlook.com 20 MB, many work servers 10 MB. Shrinkzy usually gets a scanned PDF well under that.

Is it safe for confidential documents?

Yes. The file never leaves your computer. There's nothing to upload and nothing stored.

Do I need an account?

No. There is no sign-up and no email to give. Open the page, drop your file, and it is done.

Is it really free?

Yes. Photos, PDFs and audio are unlimited. The free plan covers 3 videos a day and 5 files at a time.

Is there a size limit?

No fixed limit. Your device's memory is the only ceiling, so a very large video takes longer and needs a recent phone or computer.

What happens to my original file?

Nothing at all. It stays on your device, untouched. Shrinkzy writes a new, lighter copy and leaves the original alone.

Can I compress several files at once?

Yes. Drop as many as you like, 5 at a time on the free plan, then download them one by one or all together in a ZIP.

How does Pro work?

Pro removes the daily limits, unlocks 4K and the guaranteed max size. Subscriptions open very soon.
